Part Requests

On this page you can manage and approve/reject requests for parts.

The following information displays in a smart table:

  • Part request number

  • Request status: The current status of the request (In Progress, Rejected, 1st Level Approval, and so on)

  • Name: The name of the part request as a separate identifier from the request number

  • Description

  • Request type: The type of part request (General, Internal, Requisition, or Return)

  • Parent part request: The part request to which this request is a child or sub-request

  • Work order #: The work order for which parts are being requested

  • Required date: When the request needs to be fulfilled, be it receipt, return, or otherwise

  • To location: The location the part is expected to be delivered to or returned from

Click the part request number to open Request Details manage and/or approve/reject the part request.

Create new part request

  1. Click Create part request at the bottom of the page.

  2. Select a Request type. Options are:

    • General: A request for parts not already on hand internally

    • Internal: A request for parts already on hand internally within the Company you are requesting parts for

      Selecting this option requires you to select the Source locationyou are requesting parts from.

    • Requisition: A request for parts from another company

      Selecting this option requires to select the Source company and allows you to enter a Supplier purchase number.

    • Return: A request to return parts

      Selecting this option requires you to select the Source location (the current location of the parts being returned) and the Destination company (the company you are requesting to return parts to).

  3. Select the Company the request is for.

  4. Select the Destination location (the part location where parts will be received).

    This step does not apply to Return requests.

  5. Name the part request.

  6. Select the Required date by which the request must be fulfilled.

  7. Indicate whether Shipping and Receipting are required for the part request.

  8. Optionally, add a Description, Approval notes, and Shipment notes.

  9. Open Parts list and click Add parts.

  10. Choose the parts for the request and click Select.

    If active part categories are in place, a category tree is available on the left of the dialog to filter parts shown.

  11. Enter the Quantity to request for the parts selected.

  12. Save the part request.
